TOYZ'S STORY, SO FAR...

In the late 90's the band build up an impressive instrumental repertoire in a short time. They participated in various talent competitions in Dordrecht, Delft and Weert, which they all won. Price money was invested in the recording of their first EP titled 'Remember'. The subsequent media attention earned them invitations to several established open-air festivals, including WantijPop in Dordrecht, Westerpop in Delft, Flowerpop in Naaldwijk, Trailerpop in Rotterdam and Bospop in Weert, as well as gigs in the Dutch club circuit and local radio and TV shows. They tried vocals in the early 2000's, but unfortunately this didn't work out. The band finally called it quits in 2002. Due to musical differences the band fell apart, the fire was extinguished...

But a fierce fire like this is difficult to extinguish and of course continued to smolder. The band members kept in personal contact and the EP 'Remember' was still played on Arrow Classic Rock, one of the country's national radio stations.

In early 2004, Peter, Ron and Robert, together with new keyboardist Arjan van Gog, decided to revive Toyz and pick up where they left off, with both old and new instrumental repertoire. Later, with new bass player Jeroen van Boldrik, they recorded their first full length album 'The Infinite Road', released in 2012. But again: This time ''Time'' was a blockade for the band, causing everyone to choose a different path at the crossroads for different musical inspirations.

As before: Band members always kept in personal contact and after the boring COVID pandemic core Toyz members Peter, Ron and Robert decided to pick up their instruments once more to play the existing repertoire and also create new. With the aid 21 st century technology they decided to continue as a trio. New recordings are already made and video clips are edited. Expect to hear and see new Toyz music in 2024. Ready to rock the stage once again.
